Welcome to Physical Education

 

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa Alvarez and I am one of the physical educators here at P25r. This is my 5th year teaching physical education. Before teaching, I was a paraprofessional for our organization for almost 5 years. I absolutely love my career and my students are the most important thing to me. 

 

Every year our students will be participate in the NYC Road Runners Program. Students walk to achieve mile goals in order to receive special prizes as well as accomplishing fitness goals. A few years ago, some of our students were granted brand new New Balance sneakers. They also received t-shirts, lunch boxes and medals for all their hard work. 

 

Students will be participating in various sports and also our Sports Program that we run every week for all our students. It's awesome to see our students work together to achieve all their physical goals. 

 

I am so excited for the upcoming year. Welcome to 2022-2023 school year. Now lets get fit!
