Hello All,
My name is Mr. D'Appolonia. I have an Associates of Science degree in Advertising & Communications from Johnson & Wales University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from the State University of New York at Cortland, after which I earned my New York State teaching certification and a Master of Science degree in physical education from Queens College. I completed my educational leadership program through The College of Saint Rose which granted me a School Building Leader certification for the state of New York. Most recently, I completed coursework to earn my New York State (NYS) School District Leader (SDL) certification.
I am honored to to be the physical education and health teacher at South Richmond High School. This is my 8th year teaching physical education and health, and I am passionate about my career, sports and physical activity. My philosophy on physical education class is for students to obtain the knowledge and skills required to be able to participate in a variety of sports and fitness activities which, in turn, will allow for students to be able to live healthy and active lifestyles beyond the confines of the school gymnasium.
