Welcome to Mrs. DiMonda's Page!

Being an Assistant Principal at South Richmond is a dream come true. This organization is truly one of a kind. The emphasis that P25R places on building teacher capacity in strengthening, designing, and delivering CORE instruction with a priority on literacy acquisition that uses culturally responsive and social emotional learning curriculums all while scaffolding and differentiating across all grades and subjects directly aligns with the whole student approach to with high expectations for student success.

I oversee our Alternate Assessment programs at the P3 Annex and at I.S. 75. I have been in Special Education for over 12 years and have taught 6:1:1, 8:1:1, 12:1:1 and 12:1 classroom settings in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. A fun fact about me is I love to read! My favorite book is the Alchemist by Paul Coehlo. My passion is helping teachers push our students to their best of their abilities. I love seeing students 'break the glass ceiling' and succeed everyday. I like to celebrate every success - no matter how big or small!

My educational background includes a Bachelor's in Science of Education -Grades 1-6 from St. John's University, Master of Science in Education - Special Education 1-6 from The College of Staten Island, Special Education Extension Certificate Birth through Grades 2, and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Building and District Administration from the College of St. Rose.

I look forward to being part of the P25R team for many more years to come and continuing to celebrate our students on a daily basis!
