Welcome letter 2023-2024

Welcome to the 2023 -2024 school year. 

I am Mrs.Wendy Kokkinakis. It is my pleasure to welcome your child. I’m so excited to be a part of the 7th grade team at the north shore Annex, together with the paraprofessionals Mrs. Diana Gaudioso and Mrs. Rita Marasa we will be V44 home room staff. 

I am also the science teacher for the 7th grade and 8th grade classes. We will be using Amplify Science. As part of this program students are asked to take on the role as scientist or engineers to investigate scientific problems, engaging in real world applications and problem-based learning. This guide is designed to offer teachers and students a resource of the hallmarks of literacy.

We are providing a communication folder. The point sheet will be in the folder everyday and should be signed and returned to school the next day. Permission slips, report cards and other valuable information will be placed in this communication folder, so please check every day. Also, all students must turn in their cell phones upon entering the classroom, and place them in a basket at the classroom para’s  desk. Also, please make sure that your child follows the school dress code guidelines included in this package.  I encourage you to communicate with me as frequently as you like.
