2/21/22 - 2/25/22

Students will be able to write, graph, and identify solutions of inequalities. This Content Standard prepares students for A.REI.3, Solving linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.

Homework: Worksheet due Friday

2/07/21 - 2/11/21

Learning Objective: Students will be able to solve multi-step equations in one variable through the use of real-life situations using linear equations. Students will be able to identify when they are supposed to Combine Like Terms, use the Distribution Property, Use Fractions

Common Core Learning Standards:

A.CED.1 - Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them to solve problems. Include equations arising from linear and quadratic functions, and simple rational and exponential functions.

Homework: Level Questioning Worksheet

1/31/22 - 2/04/22

In classwork: Students will be taking the MAP test for a second time around

Homework due Friday: Students will combine like terms and distribute for reinforcement of multistep equations.

1/10/22 - 1/14/22

Learning Objective: Students will be reviewing everything we learned so far this year to prepare for the Mid-Term Final.

The Mid-Term Final is expected to be on 1/18/22 or 1/19/22

Students will be refreshed on:
- Variables and Expressions
- Order of Operations and Evaluating Expressions
- Real Numbers and the Number Line
- Properties of Real Numbers
- Multiplying and Dividing Real Numbers
- The Distributive Property
- Combining Like Terms
- Solving One Step, Two Step and Multi Step Equations

Welcome Back 1/03/21 - 1/07/21

Learning Objective: Students will review combining like terms and the distributive property. These two ideas are key in understanding how to solve multi-step equations.
After students are done reviewing how combining like terms and the distributive property, Students will continue solving multi-step equations.

Homework: Distributive Property and Combining Like Terms worksheet

12/13/21 - 12/17/21

Learning Objective: Students will be able to solve Multi-Step Equations with combining like terms by using step by step instruction, youtube videos, graphic organizers, and tiered questioning.
***GOOGLE CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS ARE POSTED DAILIY****

Quiz 12/15/21 -  Students will be given a quiz on Wednesday to confirm their ability on how to solve multi-step equations with combining like terms.

Homework: Students will need to study this week

12/06/21 - 12/10/21

Homework #12: Solve Multi Step Equations 10 question worksheet due 12/10/21
Learning Objective: Students will be able to solve multi-step equations using Algebra Tiles, Order of Operations, Word problems with C.U.B.E.S. Method and Graphic organizers
Test: Students will be expected to take a test on Multi Step Equations TBA

11-29-21 through 12-3-21

Homework: Two Step Equations: Whole Numbers 10 question worksheet
Class work: Students will be able to solve two step linear equations. This builds upon our last lesson on learning how to solve 1 step equations.

11/15 - 11/19

Classwork: Students will be able to solve one step equations using multiplication and division

Homework: Complete 10 questions of one step equations due Friday11/19

11/08/21 - 11/12/21

Students will be able to solve One Step Equations (Solve for X) using simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Homework complete 10 questions on the hand out due 11/12/21

What to expect in class 10/11/21-10/15/21

After MAP Assessment Testing, Students will refresh and brush up on skills like Simplifying exponents and Using Order of operations to evaluate expressions. Specifically, students will be working on evaluating Numerical and Algebraic expressions.
